Laminate Flooring/Vinyl Tiles
Laminate is a type of flooring that mimics the look of hardwood but is constructed with a plywood or medium-density fiberboard (MDF) core and a top layer of plastic laminate. High-density fiberboard (HDF) laminate features a core of dense fiberboard, topped with decorative paper and a transparent protective layer. While laminate can be more durable than hardwood, it cannot be refinished like hardwood. Available in a variety of patterns that replicate different types of wood or even ceramic tiles, laminate flooring typically locks or clicks together during installation. An underlayment is necessary to provide moisture protection and reduce noise.
